Singer Cardi B Turns Down Super Bowl Offer
American singer Cardi B has reportedly said that she won’t perform at next year’s Super Bowl in a display of solidarity with exiled quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ star was demanding $6 million to perform ‘Girls Like You’ with headliners Maroon 5 at next year’s event,Page Six initially reported.
However, Rolling Stone now claims that although talks were held between Super Bowl bosses and Cardi’s management, it’s likely that she’ll snub any proposed performance in order to support Kaepernick.
“The rumor circulating that she wants a million dollars and she wants her own set is false,” a representative for the rapper said.
“There was never a firm offer to begin with for a performance. There [were] talks about it, but she was not particularly interested in participating because of how she feels about Colin Kaepernick and the whole movement.
